Course overview
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive condition affecting a person's mental and physical health. As the person progresses through each stage, addressing their medical needs is essential. This course discusses the different medical conditions related to Alzheimer's disease and strategies to improve nutrition and hydration. It also discusses end-of-life care for those with Alzheimer's disease. The goal of this course is to teach direct care workers in post-acute care about the medical needs of a person with Alzheimer's disease.
