Different perspectives have emerged through the years as professionals have analyzed and addressed assessment, intervention, and collaboration needs for individuals with auditory processing disorders (APD) and/or weaknesses. A developmental, multi-modal framework is needed to focus on deficit-specific areas using individualized and intensive bottom-up and top-down processing strategies. This course will provide participants with a practical, evidence-based model of intervention to address these needs. Additionally, participants will develop an understanding of auditory processing disorders in relation to functional activities of daily living and will be guided through the process of analyzing data and developing treatment goals, activities, and strategies that can be utilized immediately within a therapeutic, school, and/or home environment.
