Course overview
Alzheimer's dementia affects of 6 million people in the US today and is expected to double by the year 2050. This course will explain the different types of dementia and especially Alzheimer's disease dementia and how it affects the Chiropractic patient. This course will cover differentiated dementia and Alzheimer's, theories of cognitive decline: Amyloid Protein Theory, Tau Hypothesis, and Cholinergic Hypothesis and genetic link, and nutritional and lifestyle changes to decrease the risk of Alzheimer's and dementia.
