Course overview

Individuals with autism are seven times more likely to interact with first responders than the average citizen. To properly respond to calls with individuals who have autism, first responders must understand what autism is, best practices, and associated dangers. This course will discuss specific hazards unique to fire and EMS and recommend best practices to protect those with autism, their loved ones, and first responders.
