THE POPULAR TECHNIQUE OF RUBBER BAND LIGATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF SYMPTOMATIC INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS IS A RELATIVELY SIMPLE TECHNIQUE THAT HAS BEEN USED TO SUCCESSFULLY TREAT GRADE 1 AND 2 HEMORRHOIDS. SOME SELECTIVE CASES OF GRADE 3 HEMORRHOIDS CAN BE TREATED WITH THIS TECHNIQUE AS WELL. THIS ACTIVITY DESCRIBES HEMORRHOID BANDING AND EXPLAINS THE ROLE OF THE INTERPROFESSIONAL CARE TEAM IN EVALUATING AND TREATING PATIENTS WHO UNDERGO HEMORRHOID BANDING.
