SEGOND FRACTURES ARE A TYPE OF AVULSION FRACTURE ON THE LATERAL ASPECT OF THE KNEE. THEY ARE RELATIVELY COMMON AND ARE HIGHLY ASSOCIATED WITH AN UNDERLYING ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT INJURY.
