Decreased musculoskeletal flexibility has been linked to postural problems and muscular pain as well as decreased functional mobility. Improving a client's flexibility and joint mobility can aid in helping them move with more ease and less pain. This improvement in ease of movement allows the therapist to more effectively apply therapeutic exercise and functional activities to achieve functional outcomes. Clinicians who incorporate evidenced based flexibility and mobility techniques will have improved compliance with therapeutic interventions for maximal functional outcomes. This course will provide you with the assessment tools and latest evidence-based techniques to improve your client's mobility for function. You will learn hands on assisted stretching, myofascial release and flossing protocols through lecture and lab experience. These skills will have immediate applications in your practice setting whether it be clinical, fitness or hospital based.
