End of Life I is a home study continuing education course for rehabilitation professionals. This course presents updated information about terminal illness and the last stages of life including sections on the terminal illness continuum, roles, communication, patient centered care, spirituality, advance care planning, goals of care, transitional care, care-giving, and psychosocial aspects of death and dying. Course Rationale The purpose of this course is to present course participants with current information about the psychosocial issues relating to death and dying. A greater understanding of death and dying will enable therapists and assistants to provide more effective and efficient care to individuals affected by terminal illness.
