Course Description: This course gives an overview on HIV/AIDS, including the definitions, means of transmission, stages of infection and cancers, global and local statistics, counseling individuals with HIV/AIDS, related Florida laws and rules, and the ACA Code of Ethics. Course Objectives Participants will learn the definition of HIV/AIDS Participanst will learn about the transmission of HIV Participants will learn about the stages of AIDS and about opportunic infections Participants will learn about global trends and statistics Partcipants will learn the ethical and legal guidlelines for counseling clients with HIV/AIDS
