VISUAL PERCEPTION 101

Course overview

Visual Perception 101 is designed for the beginner to intermediate Occupational Therapist in search of a comprehensive course on visual perception. This course incorporates the newly adopted OT Practice Framework and takes an evidence-based look at children of various ages and stages in development. Within this course the visual system is reviewed along with the development of visual perceptual skills in children. This course reviews various models and theories for structuring therapeutic interventions with children with visual perceptual problems and also describes treatment strategies for OT. The effects of visual perceptual problems and the influence on ADL?s are also explored. Case studies are included to highlight key concepts.
