Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) understands and considers the pervasive nature of trauma and promotes environments of healing and recovery. Trauma-informed care calls for a change in organizational culture, placing an emphasis on understanding and responding to the effects of trauma. How might our workplace be re-traumatizing? How can we work to reduce the likely hood of re-traumatization of our clients? TIC requires a system to make a paradigm shift from asking, "What is wrong with this person?" to "What has happened to this person?"
