Course overview
This course covers cardiac, dermatologic, endocrine, cognitive, and hematologic alterations in body functioning commonly seen in patients with cancer. Additional topics include pharmacologic interventions and complementary and integrative therapies based on symptomatology. Alterations in other organ systems are found within another course in this series titled Alterations in Functioning. The goal of this course is to review common alterations in body functioning, pain, and other symptoms in the oncology setting for nurses preparing for the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) examination. This course is not affiliated with the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (OCCN).
