Lymphatic Drainage Foundational

Course overview

This course is designed for the massage therapist who wants to gain effective tools for general detoxification, stimulation of the immune system, & addressing general inflammation. You will receive a thorough overview of the components, terminology, & working of the Lymphatic System, including vessels, movement patterns, watersheds, & more; indications & contraindications for the use of Lymphatic Drainage; a thorough grounding in the 4 major stoke types, as well as the 20 additional specialty stoke types, used in Lymphatic Drainage & how, when, & where to apply them appropriately. You will have the opportunity to observe, practice, & receive specific Lymphatic Drainage protocols for the Head, Neck, Face, Thorax, Abdomen, Upper Extremities & Lower Extremities in both supine & prone positioning during partner practice sessions. This course, or its equivalent, is the prerequisite for the Advanced Lymphatic Drainage course. You will have the opportunity to observe, practice, & receive specific Lymphatic Drainage protocols for the Head, Neck, Face, Thorax, Abdomen, Upper Extremities & Lower Extremities in both supine & prone positioning during partner practice sessions. This course (or its equivalent) is the prerequisite for the Advanced Lymphatic Drainage course.
