Advanced Lymphatic Drainage

Course overview

The Lymphatic Drainage Foundational course (or its equivalent) is the prerequisite for the Advanced Lymphatic Drainage course. The practitioner Must have a working knowledge of & hands-on experience applying Lymphatic Drainage techniques prior to taking this course so they will be properly prepared to absorb & use the information contained in this course. The course begins with a review of the full body protocols introduced in the Lymphatic Drainage Foundational course. You will be introduced to Lipedema, causes & treatments. Additionally, you will learn how to combine Lymphatic Drainage techniques with other modalities & techniques to provide effective pain relief for your clients. You will learn, through lecture, demonstration, & hands-on partner practice to apply specific Lymphatic Drainage protocols for post-surgical clients who have received facelifts, liposuction, surgery with & without lymph node removal. You will learn through lecture, demonstration, & hands-on partner practice how to move lymph between watersheds via anastomosis in both prone & supine positioning for both the upper & lower extremities. You will learn through lecture, demonstration, & hands-on partner practice how to apply elastic tape (kinesiotape) to address Lymphedema, generalized edema, promotion of drainage between watersheds, & scar tissue remodeling.
