Course overview

Join fellow advocates to explore and practice Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), otherwise known as Tapping. Participants will review the research and science that supports this method of intervention as a trauma informed apporach for helping survivors regulate their emotions. Advocates will learn to describe EFT and when it is appropriate to utilize. They will applly EFT/Tapping scripts and sequences to scenarios and will learn practical skills in offering EFT as a resource to utilize to manage moments of distress. This virtual training takes place on August 17, 2023 from 9-11 a.m., EST and offers 2 CEUs. ODVN Trainer: Sonia Ferencik, LISW-S, RA, Youth Advocacy and Trauma Informed Services Coordinator.
