Course overview

This course is a recording of a previously hosted live webinar event. Polling and question submission features are not available for this recording. Format and structure may differ from standard MedBridge courses. Cancer care occurs across a protracted timeline, commonly over at least a year. Individuals with advanced cancer may be on active treatment for the remainder of their lives. Rehabilitation services should be incorporated into cancer care from the point of a cancer diagnosis and can provide effective interventions aimed at improving and restoring function throughout the duration of the individual's life span. This webinar will discuss the evidence base for rehabilitation interventions across the cancer care continuum. We will discuss the four domains of cancer rehabilitation-preventive, restorative, supportive, and palliative-and will emphasize the importance of prospective screening for functional morbidity and early intervention for cancer treatment-related impairments throughout this care continuum.
