Introduction to HSD/EDS

Course overview

This is an introductory course into the connective tissue disorder presentation of hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). It is important for practitioners to recognize the difference in systemic connective tissue involvement and how this will present in their patients. We review the involvement of connective tissue, the classifications, and the team approach strategy to take for efficient patient care in this population. This course is appropriate for those in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, and nursing.
