Course overview

It is estimated that more than 20% of BADLs and more than 30% of IADLs are impaired in those immediately post stroke, (Gil-Salcedo, et al. 2022). These ADL impairments continue to increase in percentage every year post stroke, (Gil-Salcedo, et al. 2022). This statistic calls for not only initial occupational therapy, but long-term occupational therapy throughout a stroke survivors journey. This 2-hour webinar will provide practical and evidence-based ADL assessments that can be used initially, or later, in an episode of care. Effective tips for improving BADL and IADLs will be provided. Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants will leave with a toolbox of new ADL tools that can be used immediately.
