There are many ways to manage acute and chronic illnesses and conditions. Among these approaches are nutritional and dietary interventions. The importance of nutrition cannot be overstated, as diet is a modifiable risk factor for many illnesses. This course focuses on common dietary challenges that require special diets, safety measures during mealtimes, and ways to improve someone's nutritional status and experience. The goal of this course is to teach administrative professionals in the post-acute setting about special diets to manage symptoms and disease progression.
