Course overview

This course is a form of massage therapy that teaches myofascial techniques to safely release fascial and muscular tension in the body improving breath and functional movement. The functional assessments refer to postural problems and corrections working with myofascia in movement. This course teaches the participants specific body mechanics for fascial AKA DRY work utilizing gravity by leaning into the work with core and spinal stability in their own bodies. Myofascial hands-on techniques will address adhesions and restrictions in the soft tissue of the client by the therapist in synergy with active movement by the client. This style of work teaches the massage therapists how to conserve energy and use safe body mechanics and is within the scope of practice for massage therapists.
