Management and Treatment of Hip Injuries Part A

Course overview

Management of hip pathology can be challenging for both the novice and experienced clinician. Due to the extensive anatomy, proximity, overlap in symptoms to other pathologies, and a relatively new knowledge base with regards to intra-articular pathology, it is critical that all therapists take the time to advance their knowledge of the topic. This course is intended to give you an overview of both extra- and intra-articular hip pathologies, as well as the subsequent intervention strategies. We will review both general and specific treatment principles covering mobility and stability interventions related to the hip. After completion of this course, participants should feel confident in their ability to understand the interventions used for hip patients, general treatment principles, and non-operative rehabilitation techniques. This is the first half of a two part course.
