This course will provide essential details for caring for patients who have had invasive coronary procedures. The course will differentiate between right cardiac catheterization and left cardiac catheterization. Preprocedure, intraprocedure, and postprocedure expectations will be discussed. his course will present purposes for cardiac catheterization, topics to explain to the patients and their families, and possible complications related to the procedure. Common catheterization findings, such as valve disease, pulmonary hypertension, and coronary disease, will be briefly discussed.
