Course overview
Course Description: Modern society places repetitive stresses on the joints and soft tissues of the human body due to work and sports activities. Health habits, various diseases and variations in human anatomy can result in entrapment of peripheral nerves. This chiropractic orthopedics course covers the anatomy and physiology of common upper extremity entrapment syndromes. The class will emphasize identifying and conservatively managing the various entrapment syndromes, sometimes referred to as tunnel syndromes. This presentation will also provide patient education strategies for the prevention and home management of entrapments.
