Course overview

Course Description: This course is a comprehensive review of the oral systemic link including periodontal disease, caries, infection and potentially hazardous dental materials. This course presents publications, radiographs and specific case studies which will highlight and define the need for a more comprehensive approach to the oral systemic link. Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will: Gain an understanding of the link between our oral health and our systemic health. Understand the role of bacterial infections, periodontal disease, and dental materials in Alzheimer's Disease, Cardiovascular Disease, Cancer, and more. Describe the role of dental diseases after examining radiographic and medical case studies.
