Why is aquatic therapy such a beneficial medium to treat the child with a sensory-motor processing disorder? This course will review water principles and how they positively impact successful therapy treatments in relation to children with poor sensory-motor processing. What is the current aquatic evidence-based research on children with sensory-motor processing disorders and/or children with autism, and how can this research be applied to your clinical practice? This course will review the current aquatic evidence-based research and explore how to implement this research into your current practice for more successful outcomes. Participants will gain knowledge from current evidence-based research and be more successful with establishing effective aquatic therapy treatment for children with sensory-motor processing disorders, including autism.
