Course overview

Learn to apply evidenced based school-based practices to the severely involved and medically complex child using a problem-based learning approach. This course will provide the school-based practitioner the opportunity to learn and apply an evidenced based framework that supports educationally relevant and necessary decision making to clinical reasoning in school-based practice. Using actual cases and provided practice tools, the series will facilitate participants to develop their own clinical reasoning skills and apply assessment, IEP documentation, interventions, data collection and dosing strategies to meet the needs of the medically complex student. Participants will work individually and collaborate with others to enhance their learning and the application of information to their own students.
