The number of individuals forcibly displaced due to armed conflict, violence, war, and disaster is growing. When considering trends and patterns of displacement, it is essential to understand how many people have been displaced and the composition of displaced populations. For instance, what proportion of displaced people are children, working-age adults or older adults? Understanding different subgroups such as age, gender, and health categories (e.g. disability, mental health etc.) can be relevant for clinicians, service providers and policymakers. This course looks at recent data in order to explore general trends in displacement. The aim of this course is to explore key trends and patterns of displacement.
