Course overview

This course explores working with survivors of torture. Displacement and forced migration can put individuals from these groups at increased risk for abuse, neglect, and violence. Moreover, these persons often encounter problems accessing support and services. In order to meet the rehabilitation needs of this population, rehabilitation professionals must be aware of and address special considerations for patient care. This course aims to provide an overview of working with displaced persons who are survivors of torture.
