Course overview

This session focused on clinical updates on correctional medicine and the delivery of care. It addressed new changes in the treatment and follow-up care to patients. After the session, attendees are able to classify, manage, recognize, and face the challenges in caring for patients in the correctional environment and recognize ethical perils in clinical practice. This session provides a clinical overview of evolving areas of medicine that affect the scope of health care services provided to incarcerated populations. Participants gain a better understanding of recent advancements in clinical care that should be considered for integration into the health care delivery system.
