Panel Discussion: Social Media in Equine Practice - Is digital marketing unavoidable for equine practitioners today?
Tracking # 20-1104036
Course overview
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube to name but a few, some of which you wouldn't even recognise. As the age range decreases in the veterinary sector, the number of platforms to which we are signed up increases. Rarely do people not have at least a Facebook and Instagram account nowadays. Social media is now firmly part of our daily lives. Brand reputation and employer brand are at the top of most companies' minds today, especially as consumerism and competition rise notwithstanding the forever decreasing veterinary manpower available. What are the motivations behind the use of digital marketing in equine practice and how do we manage to endorse this as busy practitioners? Are there any best practices, rules or risks we should be taking into account? Should digital marketing be taught at vet school or should we all be employing community managers?
