Course overview

When seeing patients with lung disease, do you modify your interventions based on their condition? Have you considered how their underlying pathology and medical treatment impact their presentation? In this course, rehabilitation therapy and respiratory therapy professionals will learn to recognize how differences in the underlying pathologies of restrictive and obstructive lung disease influence presentation and function. Common respiratory medications prescribed and their impacts on activity are discussed. Recommendations for condition-specific assessment, treatment, and goal writing are presented.
