Hospice Care Index: Closing the Gap for Problem Areas
Tracking # 20-1109498
Course overview
The Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) provides valuable information to each hospice and its patients about the quality, safety, and person-centered nature of hospice care. The Hospice Care Index (HCI) is one of the four quality measures in the HQRP. The HCI is a composite score of 10 indicators; each indicator is based on a regulatory requirement. This course presents which regulations are linked to an HCI indicator. If your program is able to adhere to the interdisciplinary group process, it will more likely achieve favorable patient outcomes, which will be reflected in its HCI. The goal of this course is to provide administrators and interdisciplinary groups in hospice with knowledge of Hospice Care Index-related process improvements.
