Course overview

The delivery of healthcare is shifting from a cost-based to a value-based care paradigm. This new approach emphasizes evidence, efficiency, and accuracy in clinical decision-making that reduces costs while improving patient outcomes. The clinical laboratory is an integral part of this new system. Laboratory professionals must challenge the perceptions of the clinical laboratory as solely a provider of test results to that of a provider of integrated and actionable clinical insights that can improve patient outcomes and decrease the total cost of care. The first in a series, this webinar will demonstrate why this reevaluation is essential for transforming the landscape of healthcare and provide some examples of the value of lab medicine in action.
