Course overview

As the trend continues to discharge patients' home within 24 hours following Total Joint Arthroplasty, patient expectation needs to be considered, as it is one of the most significant predictors of patient satisfaction. Education and discharge planning are essential components in achieving both rapid discharge and patient satisfaction. Organizations striving to provide patients with an excellent patient experience need to consider the entire continuum of care for their patients undergoing elective orthopedic surgery. This program will explore the key components of the continuum of care including discharge destination, physical therapy interventions and patient outcomes.
