The medical management of the orthopedic patient can be complex and multifaceted. This program will explore the key components of medical management of the post- surgical orthopedic patient as well as common co-morbidities and their impact on a patient's ability to meet functional goals. Clinical practice guidelines and standard physical therapy guidelines for the treatment of common co-morbidities will also be discussed.
