The purpose of this course is to educate the learner with regarding Diabetes Mellitus, the different types of Diabetes, its pathophysiology, and risk factors associated with the disease process. The course also aims to teach the learner identify signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia and its corresponding interventions. The course also explains the different complications associated with Diabetes and the significance of blood glucose monitoring, medication adherence, and a healthy lifestyle in preventing acute and chronic complications.
