End-of-Life Symptom Management and Supportive Interventions

Course overview

At the end of life, numerous physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges transpire. Frequently, family members and caregivers lack prior experience with the dying process. By educating caregivers on identifying common signs and symptoms associated with end-of-life, they can provide better care to both patients and their families. The purpose of this course is to deepen the understanding of the health care team on the dying process, teach the anticipated emotional and physical symptoms, and various interventions to help support the dying and his/her loved ones.
