Course overview

This course makes recommendations for the identification, treatment and management of bipolar disorder for children, adolescents, and adults in primary and secondary care. Bipolar disorder is a serious mental illness that often has a long course and is characterized by both episodes of depressed mood and episodes of elated mood (mania or hypomania). This guideline makes evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder.
