Course overview
The type of diabetes a person has will determine which treatment will best manage their disease. This may include medications and blood glucose monitoring, but some people may be able to manage their diabetes with diet and exercise alone. This course will review the different pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatments available for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It will use knowledge checks to encourage active learning. This course provides the healthcare team in all settings on the pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatments available for people with diabetes.
