Course overview
The purpose of this course is to review the various aspects of fire safety within operative and invasive procedure settings. In the unfortunate event that a fire does occur, strategies for managing the fire are also discussed. Course Objectives: * Discuss how heat sources, oxygen, and fuel can intersect in perioperative environments. * Identify strategies for preventing intraoperative fires. * List appropriate actions to take during a fire situation.
