Tracking # 20-1123562
Course overview
Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that lingers beyond the first trimester of pregnancy (Cheng et al., 2023). Due to its severity and persistence, HG increases the risk of maternal and fetal complications. This course will review the etiology, pathophysiology, and evaluation of hyperemesis gravidarum. It will provide treatment and management strategies for hyperemesis gravidarum. Review questions throughout the course will encourage active learning. This course provides education on managing hyperemesis gravidarum for the healthcare team in the acute care setting.
