Many of us "grew up" in the therapy world having a basic understanding of conversion disorder and have worked with patients where it feels obvious to us that the patient's movement problems are not consistent with the diagnosis they have been given. It may feel like they are "faking it". These patients are often frustrating and difficult to treat with positive outcomes, leading to therapist burnout. We often don't have the tools we need to be effective.
