Course overview

Rehabilitation therapists in all settings must use evidence-based screening tools to identify older adults with early cognitive changes and modify their treatment plans for the greatest success. By taking this course you will gain an understanding of common presentations in patients with mild cognitive impairment and early stages of dementia, screening tools, recommendations of when to refer for further assessments, how to modify interventions, and how to best educate patients and caregivers to achieve optimal outcomes.
