Course overview

The diagnostic use of special stains depends on the ability of the histologic technologist to perform them proficiently. It is necessary that the histotechnologist know and understand the theory and application of procedures relative to the staining of tissue sections. The ability to develop and troubleshoot these procedures is of great importance. This hands-on workshop will examine the importance of carbohydrates histochemical staining at the cellular level and the tissue structures delineated by the histochemical stains.
