Integrative Approach to Veterinary Oncology

Course overview

The Integrative Approach to Veterinary Oncology course is designed for the veterinarians wishing to integrate Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and other integrative medicine for their cancer patients. The course teaches evidence informed approach to integrative veterinary oncology. This course discusses the use of acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, and nutraceuticals and reviews the etiology of cancer from a TCVM perspective. This course is taught by two board certified veterinary oncologists with extensive experience in the combination of TCVM and conventional therapy, and a senior Chi faculty and clinician with a TCVM Master's degree. The course will also review common cancer and treatment protocols in general as well as include a deeper look into the mechanisms of action of anticancer herbs as well as evidence to support safety and efficacy of an integrative approach.
