This course is designed to help professionals working in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings identify infections preventions challenges that are unique to behavioral health related to the patient populations, physical environment, and therapeutic milieu. Suggested Audience: Nursing staff, clinical staff, hospital staff Upon completion of this presentation, you should be able to: -Identify unique infection prevention challenges among patients with mental illness. -Identify unique challenges of infection prevention related to the physical environment of a behavioral health unit both inpatient and outpatient.
