Podcast: Yes, You Can Predict a Fall - Mobile Apps for Gait Analysis and Fall Risk
Tracking # 20-1132526
Course overview
Did you ever wish you could see how your patient walked outside of the clinic walls? Or that you had more objective data on gait to identify if your patient is improving? For the 99% of you who do not have access to a gait lab, mobile apps may be an effective tool to add to your rehabilitation toolkit. In this podcast, we review the evidence supporting the reliability and validity of mobile apps to quantify gait parameters during and outside of treatment and use a case-based approach to assess and integrate this data. We discuss the challenges and opportunities of integrating mobile app information into the plan of care and best practices in engaging your patient with their data.
