To address the interaction between addictive disorders and traumatized nervous system, we need treatment strategies that directly impact the brain and the nervous system. ¿ Join Janina Fisher, PhD, as she guides you through a neurobiologically informed model to addresses treatment of the addicted trauma survivor and relapse prevention. Shell provide a range of interventions drawn from both traditional and cutting-edge treatment modalities. You will learn to: Prioritize addictions recovery while still acknowledging the role of trauma. Educate clients about how the effects of the trauma remain a living legacy. Give clients practical tools for managing their traumatic activation. Be aware of the risks and benefits of a brain-centered approach.
