Tracking # 20-1134828
Course overview
Over the past several decades, Western medicine has begun to recognize the many benefits that centuries old Eastern holistic practices like Tai Chi and Qi Gong, as well as more recent exercise interventions like Pilates, can bring to our modern-day health and wellness. Research has also validated the presence of a powerful mind-body connection furthering mindfulness practices becoming widely used to decrease stress and anxiety and improve personal well-being. In this interactive and stimulating workshop, we will explore the effectiveness of each of these interventions with a specific focus on improving balance, decreasing fall risk, and increasing core stabilization strength.
