Course overview

Goal of the educational module is to provide long-term care nurses current information about the cause, symptoms, and treatments for GERD. At the conclusion of the educational module, the participant will be able to: 1. Define GERD 2. Understand how the LES plays a role in reflux 3. List at least 3 symptoms of GERD 4. Discuss treatment options.
